“Being recognized with the NAWL Outstanding Law Student Award is such an honor, I have enjoyed every moment of serving my law school's community as the President of our Women's Law Caucus and I plan to continue to strive for women's rights both within and outside of the legal profession. My commitment and passion for uplifting women and young girls has stemmed from being the eldest sister to my three younger sisters, as well as being raised by a single mom who works hard for us as well as our city's fire department. It was only natural for me to seek out a strong group of women once I began law school, and I could not have done it without them, my mom, sisters, grandparents, my professors and deans, my long-term partner Nathan, and our tuxedo cat Phoebe. After taking the California bar exam, I am hoping to work in criminal law or reproductive and healthcare law.”
