When asked to reflect on her proudest moments, Kristen Pugsley-Onsager wrote:
"Building and leading broadly representative teams and communities where people can thrive has always been my passion and priority. At Microsoft, I'm proud to lead a highly diverse international team across five time zones that advises on legal and business strategy and helps create agile legal solutions for the distribution, marketing, and sale of Microsoft’s consumer products and services. I've also been privileged to hold leadership positions on our Corporate, External, and Legal Affairs (CELA) department's D&I Council, including the Communications, Operations, and External Relationships lead roles, where I helped nurture an inclusive CELA culture through internal storytelling and external relationships with affinity groups, including NAWL.
Separate from my Microsoft role with NAWL, I've been fortunate to build my own personal NAWL community through several years of volunteering, including most recently helping NAWL develop and launch its multi-week Leadership Program that helps mid-to-senior level attorneys develop skills and networks to support their career enjoyment and advancement.
Mentoring, sponsoring, and advocating for women has been a consistent red thread and area of focus throughout my career, and I’m grateful and honored to be included in this group of amazing women leaders who stand on the shoulders of women who came before us while working to pave a more equitable and supportive future for others."
