When asked to reflect on her proudest moments, Kathleen Dillon Narko wrote:
"Throughout my professional life, I have supported women lawyers and the legal pipeline. For 25 years I have mentored law students, mostly women, to succeed. I enjoy supporting the women’s student group at Northwestern Law. I keep in touch with former female students, who are now partners, general counsel, and nonprofit leaders. They come back to speak to my classes and continue the chain of role models for women law students.
I have found my disability (I use a wheelchair) provides another avenue to reach and support women lawyers. I support the disability law student organization. In addition, I often speak on disability diversity topics and volunteer to support disability organizations. I was proud to receive the Liberty Achievement Award from the American Bar Association in recognition of my work promoting diversity in the profession."
