Shiv O’Neill is Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for Elanco, a global leader in animal health. In this role, she oversees all legal, governance and compliance matters for the company. Shiv joined Elanco in 2021 and previously served as Deputy General Counsel – Americas for Elanco, leading the strategy and operations of Elanco’s commercial and regulatory legal team in the Americas. Prior to joining Elanco, Shiv was Senior Counsel at Cummins Inc. Before Cummins, Shiv was a partner at Faegre Baker Daniels LLP (now Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP). Shiv began her legal career at The Procter & Gamble Company.

Shiv earned her undergraduate degree from Loyola University Chicago and her law degree from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Goodwill Foundation of Central & Southern Indiana. Throughout her career, Shiv has served on boards of serval non-profit organizations and has also been committed to pro bono work. Shiv lives in Indianapolis, Indiana with her husband, 18-year-old daughter, 15-year-old son and their two dogs.
