Amanda Schaffer is Senior Counsel for Macy’s, Inc., which operates retail stores nationwide and online under the names Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s and Bluemercury. She manages the company’s international online brand protection program and serves as a subject matter expert in intellectual property for the company, including trademark clearance and prosecution, product development, advertising review, social media use, and technology development. She also negotiates and drafts a broad range of commercial and IP contracts including those related to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and Fireworks. Her practice also includes counseling the company on customs issues.



Amanda is a member of the Association of Corporate Counsel. She received her law degree from Fordham University School of Law and her undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
