Elizabeth Weitzman is an award-winning journalist and speaker, and the bestselling author of more than twenty books on a wide range of subjects. Her most recent is Renegade Women in Film & TV, which chronicles the remarkable hidden history of pop culture pioneers onscreen and behind the scenes. 

Weitzman was a film critic for the New York Daily News from 2000-2015, before moving on to The Wrap. She has interviewed hundreds of celebrities, and written for publications like the New York Times, the Chicago Tribune, Smithsonian, and Harper’s Bazaar. She has Master’s degrees from Georgetown and NYU, and speaks regularly on gatekeeping, storytelling and women’s history at cultural and professional organizations around the world.
